There are not that many people in this world that can truly say that they have met an angel, let alone two.
Well…. I am one person that can say, I have met two.
I was smart enough to marry the first angel I met, but little did I know that one day I would meet another.
What is the Bible's definition of an angel?
The word “angel” in the Bible is translated from the Hebrew word malach and the Greek word angelos, both meaning “messenger.” God sends angels to warn, comfort, and guide people by communicating his messages to them.
I clearly remember waking up from my 7 hour surgery with the arms of the second angel in my life, Dr. Gifty Kwakye, wrapped tightly around me as I laid in my hospital bed. I remember her huge smile and the warmth that radiated from her heart. I remember Dr. Kwakye telling me that I did good and that I was going to be alright. I did good?…..Dr. Kwakye just spent the last 7 hours saving my life, and she tells me I did good?
Over the next year of treatment (chemo) and a second surgery (ostomy reversal) I took the opportunity to step back and truly absorb just how lucky I am to have two angels in my life. The first, to share love and life with, and the second, well let’s just say, her heart changed my life.
